Interestingly, the channels that were re-numbered correspond to Altitude, NBC Sports Chicago, and SportsTime Ohio. The first two are not surprising, since those are each separate disputes. So, this could be a sign that Dish is still negotiating with those channel owners, so they still need some kind of placeholder slate channel in their system. On the other hand, those disputes each started several months after the FSN dispute. So, it could just be that not enough months have passed yet for Dish to be contractually allowed to remove those channels entirely from their system. In the case of STO, though, it is owned by the same company as the other FSN's, and was dropped at the same time as the others. So, could this be a sign that Dish is still negotiating separately for STO only? Or maybe it is just a random placeholder slate channel chosen to remain in the system, to represent the entire FSN group, so that Dish does not need to waste space with slates for every channel in the dispute.
