Why would they light up YES at this late date?
If Aransay is right why are they going to slot it on the regional channels. They should slot it like John says 155 next to NFL Network. If they put it on Regional Sports Network then a lot of people like me would not get it!
BTW NFL STARTS ON SUNDAY FLY EAGLES FLY!
I guess it DISH does that, then paying $5.99 for all the RSNs may get around the problem, providing that DISH does not restrict it to the Big 10 states. If they do, then the screams will get more louder than what happened after last weekend. Also, the next Charlie Chat may prove interesting.
Actually, NFL starts tomorrow night at 7:30 (CST) with Saints/Colts game.
Yeah Forgot that game!
also btnat 77 werst tests 7im an ofial tester for quezat 77west ownert )
As Always ; Thanks John ..
The Big Ten Network requires 5 channels this Saturday. Quite difficult to cram them all on channel 155.
439 is the best place. It allows for the alternates to be close by and they are sports channels whether they go in AT100 or some other package.
Don't forget the other National sports channels in the 400s
Why not show the games on the "ALTERNATE" sports channels that already exist?
In a hidden way the BTN ALTS would be using the existing SKDL channels that are used by the existing RSN ALTs, The Big Ten Network being as big and expensive as it probably will be should have its own channels. At this point it appears as though the only additional bandwidth required would be for the main channel. When NHL and NBA resume their seasons. traffic may be such that additional SKDL type channels may be required to be added in the background.
439 is the Big Ten Network. It is available RIGHT NOW... channels 440-443 will be BigTen Alternates.
The Big Ten Network is available:
439 TEMP Tp 19 on EchoStar 8 at 110w MPEG2 SD RENAMED BIG10
440 TEMP Tp 24 on EchoStar 8 at 110w MPEG2 SD RENAMED ALT10
441 TEMP Tp 24 on EchoStar 8 at 110w MPEG2 SD RENAMED ALT10
442 TEMP Tp 24 on EchoStar 8 at 110w MPEG2 SD RENAMED ALT10
443 TEMP Tp 24 on EchoStar 8 at 110w MPEG2 SD RENAMED ALT10
5862 SPEC1 CHANGED MODE FROM MPEG2 SD TO SD TV
What's SD TV?
Any word if the BTN will be in HD?
DISH Network will broadcast two games in high-definition Saturday on Channel 9467, including Akron @ Ohio State (12:00 p.m. ET) and Syracuse @ Iowa (8:00 p.m. ET), and officially launch the HD simulcast of the Big Ten Network the following week.

Yeah JohnH I got them here on my 721. Looks Okay wonder how much will it cost?
Thanks as always John!
Standard price increase in February ...
Anyone else with the Superstations notice channel 38 now mapped down to its channel number? Kind of weird there in amongst the locals.
Something odd there ... it looks like whatever flag is there to say only to map the channel down in Boston is broken.
It is like that here in Denver. Strange, KTLA is not on channel 5 or WPIX in channel 11. We already have a local station using Channel 9 (KUSA) and KWGN is local channel 2.
WSBK is no longer affiliated with any network, they were UPN. Maybe DISH is providing it nationally like HSN, TBS and WGN?
