I read about Little Stevie's channel being launched soon... hadn't heard about the others.

The vacation channel most interests me...... Gonna pipe that bad boy out to my pool as soon as it goes live..........

Somehow I have heavy doubts Dish will pick up the NFL radio channel. They don't offer NFL network or NFL sunday ticket, I don't think dish likes the NFL.

I have an XM Roady and a home kit. I take it in every night to listen to Old Radio Classics and Sonic Theater. I just wish they would put a channel on the Dish Sirius feed so I could leave my Roady in the truck. I'm mean don't we have enough Music Channels already? Maybe people who have never heard a radio suspense or horror would be turned on to a new form of entertainment. Please forgive my 70's speak.

Nick, I did not mean to suggest that Dish would be getting NFL Radio Network...I just meant to suggest that if Sirius was making that change on 7/7, that they might implement these music changes the same day. Sorry for the confusion.
Timmy, I'll concede that XM handles the Radio Classics scheduling issue much better. I can't compare the programming.
Keng52, I think there is just an issue with who owns that programming. Sirius has bought the rights to use it for their service, but can't sell it to others like Dish. Maybe the best solution is to encourage Dish to buy the programming on their own, rather than trying to bundle it with the Sirius stuff.

Jeff over at Sirius Backstage was kind enough to send this to me. It's a few more details about the new channels:

    Elvis Radio // 13
SIRIUS offers the first coast-to-coast, full-time music channel dedicated to Elvis Presley with Elvis Radio, the official radio station of Graceland. From the early years to his comeback, it's all about the King of Rock n' Roll.

    Underground Garage // 25
Produced by musician and radio producer "Little" Steven Van Zandt, Underground Garage is where you can hear the coolest rock and roll records ever made. We don't care if they're 50 years old or minutes old; if they're rocking, they're coming from the Underground Garage.

    Boombox // 61
Like those great back-in-the-day sounds which bounced from your trusty boombox, Boombox brings on a mix of party beats and old skool from artists such as Fatboy Slim, De la Soul, the Chemical Brothers and A Tribe Called Quest.

    Area 63 // 63
We've heard the chants for trance, and it's now found alongside progressive house at Area 63, where artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto and Basement Jaxx play non-stop.

    Vacation // 97
Vacation is your destination for the smooth, sensuous musical rhythms you remember from your favorite island vacation. Enjoy the sounds of tropical, calypso, reggae, Hawaiian music and more.

To clarify, Area 63 will be carried. It will take Planet Dance's position on 6063.

They'll reuse that stream and change the name and description once it goes live on July 7th. :)
