I don't get how the game was the FSN feed, in HD, on CSNCHD, but not in HD on any of the FSN channels...

647-1 is FSN Midwest. It was on in HD, as well as the Cal game right now

I was upset that I was not able to watch the games in HD on FSSW-HD here in Louisiana. There is nothing better than watching an over hyped USC team being beaten in HD. Too bad the Pac-10 does not have a championship game. As Brent Musburger says they play a tough round robin in the Pac-10.

Why are the games not in HD on the HD channels when they are available on other FOX Sports channels in HD?

I'm just thankful that with the Sports Pack & HD service that I can find the Fox regional games in HD, even if not "my" regional RSN which is not in HD yet.

Do you subscribe to the sports pack? I had my choice of 4 different channels to watch it on in HD with the subscription.

I do not subscribe to the sports pack but I do receive my regional channel which is Fox Sports Southwest. The channel is currently an HD regional channel and therefore I was upset that they were showing the standard definition broadcast of the game in a 4:3 pillar box. I believe someone dropped the ball.

FSN Detroit and CSN Mid-Atlantic also did not carry the HD feed of the game. CSN Mid-Atlantic had CSN sidebars.

I'm just glad ABC passed on this game otherwise it probably wouldn't have been in HD except on the west coast.

I agree with you...and, quite honestly, not sure what 3rd-world technology they use to make that happen.

BTW, are the Rockies looking like a AAA team or what? My lord, put up a fight, men!! Another Sox bomb as I type!

I live in Oregon. The game was boradcasted on Channel 94. No sports package was required.

I assume FSN Detroit DID broadcast the game in HD. For whatever reason, It just wasn't broadcast in HD by D*.

The reason I assume this is because there was no HD feed of college football on FSN Detroit two Saturdays ago. I was ready to blame the local RSN until I mentioned it in the Detroit thread at AVS.

People replied that they were getting the games in HD on FSN Detroit through their local Comcast providers. So maybe the problem is with D* and not the RSNs.

The Pac-10 isn't allowed to have one because they only have ten teams in the conference. The NCAA requires 12 teams in a conference in order to have a championship game.

It isn't as big of a deal, though, because the teams play every other team in the conference, whereas in the 12-team conferences, they don't play everyone.

I'm hoping that a Mod can re-title this thread and we can track what 24x7 HD RSNs are not showing the appropriate FSN HD feeds for College football (and Men's Basketball in the Winter). Suggested Title "HD RSNs missing National FSN HD content"

636 FSN Detroit HD missed both FSN HD games this past Saturday 3:00pm ET USC vs. Oregon and 8:00pm ET Cal vs. Arizona State.

I know that FSN Detroit HD did in fact broadcast the game in HD, via reports from Comcast, Charter, and WOW! subscribers that receive the channel via cable.

Hopefully D* will take notice if we track these issues and fix the problem (whether it is a feed issue or a switch not getting hit for certain RSNs).

Please try to keep on topic and only report successes and failures for RSNs

If there is not an FSN affiliate where a CSN exists, then CSN shows certain "National FSN Content." Its a contract agreement between FSN and CSN and both win (FSN broader distribution and CSN with content)

ESPN has picked up this game and it will be in HD on channels 73 or 206 at 6:45 EST.

The Pac-10 could invite Fresno State and Utah State to join and improve itself in the process. Problem solved.

The friggin' UCLA game wasn't in HD last weekend either, even though FSN West is now broadcasting in HD.
