Using my receiver in a hotel?

    Upload speed is important, but it will only give you the top quality you will be able to get. Other is the Internet speed where you are connecting from.

    Hotels can be slow at times and depending where you are at. So if you want to watch on the TV, it may not look good, but usually phone or tablets are OK.

    A lot of the hotels have free Internet if you don't have status, but most of the terms say it isn't fast enough for anything but email and browsing.

    I have an old Slingbox Solo and I connect to it from a laptop when I'm on the road. I bring a VGA cable and a stereo patch cord and connect my laptop to the TV. Many hotel TVs can be switched to use the VGA input. Of course, that's not universal.
