Here we go again! Just took iOS app update and all local channels do not appear in guide.
Uninstalled app and powered off and on.
    Reinstalled app. Still n/g.
Logged out of DirectTV and logged back in. Still n/g.
Same situation for the iPad app (v.5.24.004)!
Yes, on the same network for both devices and long time DTV user of both apps.
Yes, our locals allow app access and they all worked prior to this update.
It’s poor testing of their s/w release before releasing.
Will now wait a few days to see if version update is pushed out.
    Anyone else with same issues?

Finally got it local channels to show up in the guide for both iPhone and iPad.
Had to unregister both devices in Settings & Help > Download & Go.
Had to reregister each device with new Device Nickname (can’t reuse a prior used nickname).
IPad app playlist showed local channels.
    IPhone app did not.
Had to reregister receiver HS-17 for Live Streaming.
Settings & Help > DVR Access > Live Streaming > Register
Returned to Playlist and now showed local channels.
Both devices can now live stream local channels.
    Terrible apps!
All this grief because they do an s/w update. Would love to see their test scenarios they use before releasing to the public!
Would also like to chat with the Developer/s for these apps. I was a s/w tester for Telcordia Technologies when they were developing s/w systems in support of AT&T’s telecommunications business. Have a lot of experience with s/w testing.

As with any software update from DIRECTV, it may take some time for everything to get settled. Installing the software doesn't always insure that the associated database tables are instantly updated.
