That 301st game just may be the one that I want to watch.
But does the NHL rules also block them from being on NHL CI? only used as a last feed? used if the only feeds for a game are a French Speaking Canadiens Broadcast and wgn?
You also need teams to actually show all of their games in HD. Even thuough the Dolans and the NHL made nicey-nicey a couple of days ago, the Sabres game was not available in HD last night because most Sabres road games are not available in HD.
Am I missing something here?? Aren't all Islanders, Rangers, Sabres, (New Jersey too?) still not in HD because of freaking MSG not allowing Directv HD feeds of these teams/games?? OR did something change?
yes it is now solved as of wednesday nights games
WOW,:eek2::eek2: thanks for the heads up I missed that big news story!!
Sorry for going off-topic...
Looking forward to watching the UFC on Versus as well.
Finally!! The long national nightmare is over!
No, that was Versus. MSG+ was a local nightmare.

The Capitals periodically have this problem because CSN-DC is also the primary broadcaster for the NBA's Washington Bullets. While they have an alternate channel they call CSN+, that channel is only low-def, so whichever team gets bumped over there gets a low-def broadcast. Thankfully for those of us who are Caps fans and who couldn't care less about the NBA, the Bullets are so bad this year that the Caps have pretty much taken over the main channel (and so have been in HD for pretty much every game since at least January 1).
The Caps used to have the same problem the Sabres do (no HD for road games), but that's finally changed this year.
I have to say Versus seems to be doing a better and better job with their NHL coverage compared to how they were two years ago. Now if they would just get rid of Emrick.....
Mike Emrick is in the Hall of Fame for a reason. He is, quite simply, the best and by far, the most knowledgeable hockey play by play guy on the planet.
I am a Rangers fan, can not stand Chico doing color, but Doc is a good announcer. We should all be thankful we do not have the duo from Pittsburgh doing any national games on VS. or NBC!!!
I complained before about the picture quality of their NHL broadcasts (just a tad below average) and their PBR broadcasts (which were just horrid), but both seem to have improved.
I mute him each & every time I watch the Flyers play the Devils or any other game he does.I cannot stand him.I'd rather be in a room where somebody is running their finger nails down a chalk board.
I don't dispute that he's knowledgeable, but I simply dislike his announcing style and his voice grates on my nerves (especially the little "ooohhhh" thing he does). "Most knowledgeable" and "best" are far from synonymous. I'd rather listen to Beninati than Emrick any day. (Not saying Joe B is the "best" announcer out there either. I cite him simply because most folks will have heard him at some point.)
 I agree, but then, I'm a Devils fan I still think Doc & Chico are a great team and have enjoyed them on Devils games for a long time. To each their own.
I like Sam as well (Rangers games). Sam & JD are the first ones I watched on C-Band MSG back in the 90's.
For the record, I'm a Devil fan, but I've always admired Emrick's work. I loved watching Flyer road games on c-band back in the early '90s when he was doing those with Clement.
They used to do stuff just for dish owners during commercial breaks. They sold Lindros jerseys for $88.00 and would often give the transponder locations for upcoming road games.
Doc is OK but I find it annoying when he tells us the time remaining in terms of quarter minutes... "3 and 1 quarter minutes remaining in the period".
It was nice to hear Sharks TV PbP guy Randy Hahn doing Tuesday night's Sharks-Wild game on Vs.
He's one of the best that most of the country doesn't know about.
