New to this need help trying to hook up a VIP 722k and a wireless Joey to my new 1000.2 WA. Need to know how many cables to run from the dish and where they need to go. I also have a solo node #185834. Thanks for any help

One cable, but you will need a separator - not a node (or hub). The separator is placed behind the 722.

Does the Joey work with VIP receivers? I thought it used the tuner of a Hopper to tune channels.

I missed the Joey in the original post ... no, it will not work with a 722. It needs a Hopper of some variety.

You need a Hopper of some kind, and TWO cables from the 1000.2 LNB to the Solo Node. The VIP722K by it self needs only 1 or 2 cables, but if you use the DPP Separator it only needs 1 cable from the LNB. I don't think Dish will let you have a VIP and a Hopper on the same account. There might be a requirement for another Hopper bridge for the Wireless Joey.
