I'm holding off until I get to try this without the service pack to ensure everything is working fine prior. Once everything looks good, I'm upgrading.

    What's everyone else's take?

That a good choice Tony. I've installed Service Pack 1 and my results mirror that of others. I don't know that it will matter either way at the end of the day.

From what I have been told...

The software has already been run against an SP1 (RC) system.

I'm running Vista Ultimate with SP1 RTM, so if I hit any major bugs I'll let you all know ;)

Hmm. I'm running a Virtual PC Version of Vista Home Premium on my desktop. It might be interesting to see what happens now, and when I apply SP1 to it (if anything at all happens).

    Oooooh....Another testing opportunity!

Officially it's this month sometime, I believe. There's a registry hack (made by Microsoft, I need to find the link to it) that'll let it show up in Windows update. Gimme a few (could be tonight at the latest) to find it. I'm at work now and am only checking in when I think the coast is clear. ;)

Wasn't it just pulled indefinetely? Or did they find the answer to those reboot issues.

Didn't hear about that. I haven't had any reboots.

I installed the software in Virtual PC (Vista Home Premium). Received an error at the end:

    Error 1904
Module c:\program files\DirecTV\DirecTV\Kernal\DMP\CleVR.dl failed to register
HRESULT - 2147220473 Contact your support personnel .....(that would be us)

However, the icon was on the desktop, which I clicked, the program came up, it found the HR2-700, I clicked play for a file and.....got exactly the same AKE fail message (not surprising, I'd say).

Does it really say "(that would be us)" or did you add that?
