still waiting, no 1000.
Now I'm wondering where the bottleneck is because it took me over 10 hours to download Monster House. I am connected wirelessly via a Buffalo ethernet bridge. Anyone else seeing VERY slow speed with a wireless bridge?
"The No VOD Blues"
"Woke up this morning,
Turned on the TV.
Tried channel 1000,
I ain't got no V-O-D.
I've got those 'no VOD Blues'.
Logged into my account,
Checking for activity.
There ain't no charge,
So I got no V-O-D.
I've got those 'no VOD Blues'.
I'm patiently waiting,
My wife's patience's thinner than me.
Says she'll divorce me,
'les I get that V-O-D.
I've got those 'no VOD Blues'."
I am happy to report it that my account was updated over night and I now have VOD working. It sure was a nice surprise to wake up to today.
My account was also updated over the night I will test it when I get home and let everyone know.
My blues worked!!
"They like me! They really like me!!"
p.s. Today's gonna be a long day....I've got a meeting at noon (yep, at work already!).
p.p.s. I think they charged the wrong access card!! They did the one I have labeled as "bedroom", not "living room"!! :eek2: (unless I have them labeled wrong online...) Is this even possible???
I have the "For Engineering Line" on my account. Was added yesterday, no 190 though. I guess they may be getting me prepared for something in the future. At least I am halfway there!
I guess a good nights sleep is all I needed... woke up this morning, and it is working!!!!!! Now if I just didn't have to go to work today. Oh well, plenty of time to test it this evening.
Thanks to everyone for getting this resolved and working so we can all test it out.
Good for you, and since it worked for you I'm asking your band to play it one more time for me, as nobody up there loves me yet!
Earlier I said I felt like I was being mocked because many of you who just hooked up networking last weekend are getting it. Now I KNOW I'm being mocked since I see a number of people are getting it who aren't even networked yet and some even got it who won't ever bother getting networked?
On mine the charge shows up for the first receiver its a R10, but it is the one that shows the all the program billing, DVR Service, Protection Plan, etc.. the rest of my receivers are mirrored.
And VOD's working for you? You see 1xxx channels on your HR20?
EDIT: looking at my account, it looks like they hit the primary receiver.
My VOD is working now. I downloaded some stuff last night to check it out.
Yes, the Engineering charge showed up yesterday afternoon 2 HR20's up and running and downloaded a couple of movies, The 3rd Hr20 also has the channels showing up but is not networked yet.
Not able to get shows with a $ next to them posted that problem on another thread.
On Hughesnet and the FAP free time is between 12-3 AM Pacific time, that is my window, downloaded 1.4 GB in that 3 hours. The CE video which was blank, a 44 minute documentary about tunnels under Portland Oregon, and half of Stuart Little
Checked this morning and VOD is enabled
Woke up this morning to VOD working for me as well. Very cool!!
Please change my vote on poll. Thanks, Tom
Day 5 of VOD and ch 1000 is active.
Mods can also change my vote.
"Engineering" charge applied this AM and channel 1000 was active. No joy till tonight as off to work i go HI-HO. But my anxiety level is way down.
I was watching TV yesterday evening, when I got an "Acquiring Satellite Data" message pop up on the screen. After that, it took a couple of hours for the 1xxx channels to get populated. Seems to be working fine. I tried a short (23 minutes) SD program download, and it played fine.
I have a T1 speed DSL line, and it took about 26-28 minutes to get this video downloaded. So, I wonder how much actual use this feature will get once people find how long it takes to download? Does anyone know if there are future plans to shorten the download time. other than getting a faster line?
By the way, I too have the engineering charge on my account.
Thanks D*, I knew you would fix it.
Mine was working this morning.
Woke up with VOD this morning...I cued up a few movies, but then had to leave for work.
Have queue in my scheduler, still no engineering charge or channel 1000. Still patient.:nono2:
