DirecTV added a free preview of WAPA America to the 101 satellites on channel 361-1 so all subscribers can view the coverage of Puerto Rico's recovery after Hurricane Maria. WAPA asked all providers who carry them to open up their signal last week, but until today it was only available to those with access to 119. BTW, before anyone asks. No there isn't an English language Puerto Rico local to use like they do with other Hurricanes. Their NBC affiliate is a subchannel of Telemundo that simulcasts WNBC, their ABC affiliate is another subchannel that mostly simulcasts WABC, their Fox affiliate is a subchannel that has no local news, and their CBS is the pan-caribbean satellite feed of WSEE Erie. But the footage alone should be able to give you an idea of what they're dealing with.
