My LCC is having some issues. Not showing any OTA video. I had called Directv for a replacement and their answer is NO. The reason is that sense OTA disputes has been resolved they will not send a replacement.

What issue are you having with the LCC?

No video or audio is getting through. Antenna directly to the TV is working fine

    Bossier...
Unplug the LCC and then plug it back in. Mine has locked up a couple of times and that has fixed it.

That seem to have fixed mine, thanks. It's just the fact it cannot be replace.

I wonder if unplugging will fix the video stuttering on all channels? The PQ looks fine so I'm not if sure it's a case of me living too far from the towers.

The LCC was only being sent to test markets until a number of local channels went dark, then they started sending them to those markets.

But it seems the LCC may not be ready (e.g. 100% operational), so maybe they aren't sending out any more??

Saw it mentioned at AVS that these LCCs are not very good to begin with. Can't really disagree ATM...

Yup, I was lucky enough to have a dispute and wanted to replace my pizza box AM21 with a tiny LCC. After 20 minutes, I unplugged the LCC and threw it back in the closet and put back the AM21. The LCC is junk. Audio drops out constantly. AM21 is rock solid. Spend the $200 to $300 or whatever they are going for on eBay and save the money on hair dye from when your hair goes gray from the LCC.

Totally agree. I had to re-scan at least 4 times to get all of the channels I should have received after my first scan. I've since tried three different antennas to see if I could further improve my reception numbers (which I did), but the LCC connector fitting got so hot I could have used it to cauterize a small open wound. At least it's dual purpose piece of equipment....:D

Only thing I've noticed on my LCC channels is a bit of stuttering. If I change the channel and come back to it it goes away.

I get stuttering on all channels. Most noticeable when watching football last weekend. Changing channels made no difference.

Could I possibly be the channel and not the LCC? Just curious.

The picture on every channel I get is crystal clear. The stuttering occurs on every channel I watch.

I've mentioned my problems, but "knock on wood", stuttering isn't one of them.

Where can I get a LCC to test with? I have an AM21 and tried it last winter and it seemed to work then, but the thing is HUGE and not a good place to put in the RV. Yes, I am a Snowbird that goes south for the winter and all of the talks about changing service address is indeed a nightmare. I was on the ATT Forum and their "experts" don't have a clue. They say the Genie won't work at all outside the local area and mine has worked fine even if I don't change the service location (Obviously don't get the locals) but all else works fine. I am dreading this next winter trying to talk to DirecTV about changing address again. Last winter they put in a "move" order and billed my account $400.00 for the process. It took me days to get that credited. I also mentioned to the DirecTV rep that DISH will allow service address changes in their hand held app and he said that was not true. I suggested DirecTV could do the same thing and even charge 20 bucks or so and the RV community would jump all over this. You would think with over 355,000 RV's sold every year DirecTV would want a piece of this market. Instead everyone in the RV community says to go with DISH.

YTou are misunderstanding this. No-one is saying the Genie won't work outside the local area, of course it will. You just won't get the locals. But don't even try to change the service address, ATT won't let you do this without paying for a move order. They are clamping down on service address changes and having receivers in more than one location because many people use this to avoid having two accounts.
"Everyone in the RV community says to go with Dish". Unless you have a proper RV account with nationals that's very good advice.

It's not the LCC - this has been present on the AM21's for years, too. Pause/unpause always fixes it.
