Every once in a while you gotta get someone who knows what they're doing. The PP gave up on me and sent my problems to the Case Management Group (CMG). They have the horsepower to get things fixed. And they did.

That is my story for today. The DirectSAT guy showed up at 8 am and took control of the situation. He first noticed that the dish was not mounted in a sturdy fashion because the previous guy did not hit studs on the roof. So, he offered to replace the dish with a new slimline and mount it properly. Long story short, my signals on 99 (c) and 103 (c) are now in the low to mid 90s. Most importantly, I got his phone number and tipped him well.

Almost the same thing happened next door. They had their dish installed with two of the bolts screwed into shingles that were hanging over the side of the roof. Never hit wood. First storm, it blew down and they went to cable. Some people just got no patience.

Betcha the first installer was from Staten Island.

Glad you're up and running. Persistence pays off again.

I am getting the following readings for 99 (c):

    59 33 54 32 56 36 54 34
    57 39 53 31 60 40

    103 (c):

    60 41 58 33 59 42 55 33
    58 39 57 35 58 38

(From today, a very nice, clear day)

These are really low and bad, yeah? Could it be the area I live in (Northern California) or has our dish just become misaligned?

We have been having a lot of picture freezing and box rebooting lately. I wonder if it's due to the low levels and an unstable signal? We never see any messages about the satellite not being found or anything, just freezes and box hangs.

    Thanks in advance!

Your dish needs to be re-aligned.
