Richard, or Rupert - which one do we see provide more sea life (fish, whales, dolphins, eels, pretty much any critter of the sea) to their respective tribes (or tribe? - based completely on Rupert's comments during the Pearl Islands reunion show)?

We must either see them catching the sea life, or bringing it into camp. Any sea life already in camp does NOT count. Rupert walking out of the ocean and handing a fish to Ethan would count. Richard looking at his bucket o' eel caught earlier in the day does NOT count (if we didn't see him catch it).

Ready for the first big TWIST in the contest? Well, here it is...

This poll is worth 3 points if you get it correct. If you don't get it correct, you will lose 3 points.

The twist in the scoring system applies to this poll ONLY this week.

Closes Wendesday February 25th at Midnight EST.

What if you abstain? (don't vote)

Do you stay at zero for this question, or lose the 3 points?

If you abstain from voting in this poll, not only do you lose the 3 points (because you don't get the poll correct), you also then are no longer elligible for the last place price because you now haven't voted in every poll.

Plus you won't receive the one (1) automatic point that you get just by voting in each poll.

So, the scoring in this poll, is more accurately:

    Correct: 4 pts (3 + 1)
    Incorrect: -2 pts (-3 + 1)
    No Vote: 0 pts (0 + 0)

Hope I'm not confusing anyone!
Mark - Please correct me if I am wrong with this scoring.

With a random guess in this poll, you have a one in three chance in getting it right. I think the scoring is perfect for those who want to take the risk and vote, and is also fine for those more conservative players who are happy just by not losing points.

    Great job Mark! :)

I think its more like this...

    Correct: 4 pts (3 + 1)
    Incorrect: -2 pts (-3 + 1)
    No Vote: -3 pts (-3 + 0)

Thanks for clearing that up, toddjb.
Guess I was a little mixed up.
Now there's no reason not to vote in this poll.

After this week, there will be some people at the bottom of the Scoring Summary with negative points! Ouch!

toddjb is correct with his analysis:

4 points total if correct (3+1)
    -2 points if incorrect (-3+1)
-3 points if no vote (-3+0)

Maybe I should have asked this before the polls closed or even before I voted. But glancing thru other poll questions, it states "this week" as part of the question, where this question is not specific as to it being just for this week, or for the entire series. I think maybe it should have been a little more specific because as we all know now, Rich has been given the boot.

Aaak and sigh, you're right. This poll was meant to be only for this week.

Are you going to count all the sea life that was caught by the both of them through all the episodes?

No, just for Week 5. (Although I suspect that if I were to go back to the beginning, Richard has been shown bringing in more fish than Rupert, but I haven't done that, and am not planning to.)

If you count all the fish caught during all the episodes, this poll wouldn't be answered yet. As we all should know be now, Rupert still has a chance at catching more fish for us to see.
