If there is a CE tonight I should be able to do it. I'm having a pretty good day health wise so I think I can stay up and CE it up.

    Bring it!

Checking In. The address on my AM21 was incorrect. I just got a call from FedEx and I'll be heading to there pickup location to get it at will call.

I am camping tonight so I will be unable to pull down a CE. :( Boy I am behind the curve. Amazing what happens when you take a 24-48 hour break from DBSTalk?

I've been busy getting ready for my camping trip.

bonscott87 - good to see you in this FT. Yeah, I love camping. I have another little one on the way in 70 days so we had to get one in before the next baby comes.

So is the push going to happen around 11 or so? It would be good to know as I have to babysit my H21 due to it wanting to do guided setup every time it reboots.

I suspect that the push will come around 11:15pm EST .. but I don't know that for sure.

Push means we don't do reset etc? Should we hook up am-21 after push or before?

That is correct. The receiver will receive the update automatically like any NR update.

I believe we should wait until after the update to add it in.

Is everything working ok? I am not really sure but I assumed we should wait until afterwards. I have mine all in place just waiting to connect it.

Well the OTA doesn't work...

The power to the H21 needs to come from the AM21, so I connected everything so it would be ready for the push.

The H21 works fine right now.

I see that MediaShare is another new feature. Should we connect our H21's to our home network?

OK, I got the download "pushed" and everything seemed OK except it did not automatically go through the guided setup. When I go through it manually, it tells me that my "local market" for my zip code is "Not Available"!!

    Any thoughts???

Went a bit further and picked one of the Lexington, KY zips and it finds this zip code.:) :) The zip that I use in the first attempt was 40383. This worked fine for my AM21 attached to my HR21 and I haven't had any trouble with it. I would have expected that the same database is used for both the HR21 and H21 so I am confused. Once the sat. data is downloaded, I will "reset" the local settings under Off Air Antenna and see if this sticks or was just a fluke. BTW, the zip that worked was 40504.

P.S. I was not able to get the automatic guided setup even by powering off the AM21 as well as the H21. I had to go to the Menu path to do it manually. Not a big issue but might be confusing for a "newbie".

Download OK. I have no signal meter on the ota. It is there like HR20 both tuners but no show signal.

Question based on ignorance - I have just activated an H21-100 on my account. I am "assuming" that will not confuse the "push" CE upgrade since the -100 is not in the test. I don't know if, ultimately, the H21-100 will be enabled for the AM21 (seems logical but . . .). If I am wrong, I will get a 'strange' push of the updated software tonight (ought to be chuckles!!). The question is raised because I also have an H21-200 in the test on the same account.
