Welcome to our special CES 2011 forum! Here you will find links to press releases, news stories and special reports from the CES floor in Las Vegas, NV.

This forum is designed to be your one stop shop for satellite related material coming from CES (along with a few other bits of info in other areas). It will contain links to threads that have been moved to their appropriate forum (Dish Network, DirecTV etc). This should help you find the information you need quickly.

Thanks for visiting DBSTalk! We hope you enjoy our special coverage of CES!

I was not given the choice either, just daily or weekly.

To help every clarify this all...use the link in Post 1 to subscribe for daily update - as opposed to the traditional thread notification option (unless you want an e-mail for every post).

Well, the thread notification won't do you much good unless you only want to read this thread (which is bound to die quickly) and not all the other new threads that will be started in this new forum.

I just wish I could get instant notification for new threads that are started, but it didn't give me that option (only daily or weekly).

The reports will likely be in a single thread (or rolled up to one like last year).

Having 20 different places to read about CES would make no sense.

Hmm, I'd much rather have one thread per topic/news to discuss/read about that one thing.

Maybe Chris should have just opened a CES thread instead of a whole forum.

Oh well, I guess I'll just subscribe to this thread then and see if I want to wade through it.

    Re: Notification

With the rapid pace of CES.. you would be best served to just check-in every so often.

Agree, been subscribed to the CES feed (Google Reader) and it's been quite a pace today, 20-30 releases every hour or two. Lots of cool stuff, and looking forward to anything related to DirecTV.

    Consider that a given. ;)

I didn't buy a new digital camera 6 weeks ago to collect dust at CES. :D

Well, so far, the CES thread is about this thread, not CES.

    How does that work?

That's what this thread is. A thread discussing this thread and the CES forum in general.

Other news will be in new threads in this forum.
