So I'm guessing that's around when HBO Max will launch.

Well the 22nd of May is a Friday I doubt HBO Max would launch on that date (but this is AT&T and anything can happen) So I would guess HBO Max would launch anywhere in the last two weeks of May since Audience is going away to make room for an HBO Max preview channel

I liked Loudermilk, but had little to no use for the channel otherwise.

It was just announced today that HBO Max would begin May 27th. But the article I read said it would be available to AT&T TV & Charter customers who already have HBO for free. No mention of Directv customers who get HBO getting it free.

It's been well covered here. DirecTV customers who subscribe to HBO will get free access to HBO Max.

AT&T/WarnerMedia confirmed back in October 2019 when they revealed HBO Max that all existing AT&T-HBO subscribers through their video and wireless services would get HBO Max at no additional charge. Third party wise Charter-HBO subscribers were just confirmed this month. YouTube TV also has a deal to add HBO & Cinemax to their platform alongside HBO Max.

For all other third party providers of HBO and HBO Now it's a wait and see to when they can agree to a deal with AT&T/WarnerMedia.

Audience is being discontinued because AT&T is going to use that space to launch an HBO Max Preview Channel.

See this thread for more info: HBO Max finally revealed (AT&T video subscribers with HBO subscription gets it for free)

Also AT&T has been running an advertising campaign specifically on DirecTV and U-Verse TV reminding customers about their logins and what they can do featuring the blob in my profile pic. The webpage for this campain has a link to an AT&T HBO Max page which clarifies anyone who is an AT&T-HBO subscriber gets HBO Max and under the packages section specifically mentions DirecTV Premier and DirecTV Lo Maximo

I greatly enjoyed the first season of Mr. Mercedes and mostly enjoyed season 2. Season 3 was a disaster. I also liked Hit or Miss, a wild show from about 5 years ago.

I will always remember Audience or as it was called previous The 101 Network for being the channel where Friday Night Lights was exclusive to for seasons 3-5. Pretty much that was how the show was saved because otherwise NBC was going to cancel it.

And at one point running endless 24 reruns.

And for the kids they got to see High School Musical 2 in HD on The 101 Network before Disney launched their HD feed lol

Also after FX cancelled Damages, DirecTV saved that show too.

I see that Rich Eisen has made it to the NBC Sports Network so there is hope for Dan Patrick coming back to real TV.

Audience also showed all 12 seasons of NYPD Blue in order, 5 episodes a week. It took a year, but I now have recordings of every episode with subtitles, which most of the DVDs don't have. (My wife needs them.)

I am so happy to see in the on screen guide that on May 22 Audience is showing all 14 episodes of season 7(final season) of Mad Men. They are showing the last 8 episodes of season 6 May 19-21. They normally show 1 episode(repeated 3 times) per day. I just started watching Mad Men for the 1st time during this pandemic and I'm so glad I get to see the end of the series.

It wasn't shut down; just moved to the HBO Max platform and removed from DIRECTV. It will be missed
