In this last answer, could it be noted that not only can you view the particulars, but also, you can manually change them for static configuration. By this I mean, this is not only a view screen, but the settings can be changed that will then become "static".

I would add to this one saying that even if you set it up using your PC/Router that once you hook it up to your H2X/HR2X what you did will be wiped out anyways.

I''ll update the FAQ answer from:

A: In the Advanced Setup you can view the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS, and MAC Address.

    to

A: In the Advanced Setup you can view or change the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS, and MAC Address. (Only change the settings on this screen if you are also going to change settings on your router and manually configure your bridge.)

I would add this to the FAQ:

Q: Can I use a static IP or must I use DHCP?
A: You can use a static IP just as you do with wired ethernet

Q: Is there any benefit to having the adapter use the 5Ghz band?
A: Yes, there would be no interference with your 2.4Ghz band and if this is the only device using the 5Ghz band it would have free reign of the band.

Q: Should I update the bridge to the latest firmware version from Linksys?
A: This is personal preference, but remember with updating any firmware there is always a risk.

Q: Will this work with my router even though it is not a Wireless N router?
A: Yes, it will work with all wireless routers [a, b, g and n].

    I'll add them ...

Later on I'll try to reorganize the FAQs to group them into sections. Perhaps "General", "Setup" and "Advanced"? We'll see how that shakes out ...

This is a great idea. I was trying to keep it less techy but some higher end users may need FAQ support as well. Also, as I came up with them they are in no particular order. Some of these might make more sense if they follow a certain flow.

My bad. Sometimes Im typing in one language but thinking in another. Really have to take advantage of spell check. :D

    Drew here is another.

Q: If I do loose the network connection do I have to unplug and replug the bridge again to get reconnected?

A: If you have already setup your connection and through technical issues have lost your connection you can go into the Advanced Setup menu under network and reconnect from there.

Feel free to reword if there is a better way to state this.

    Here's one...

Q: Should I update the firmware on the WET610N, and if so, how do I do the update?

    It was a team effort!

Just thinking about this, I'm going to move the FAQ to the First Look thread, so the information is all in one place...

Last one if it fits. :D

A: Although the receiver has support for this device you will need to visit the manufacturers website for firmware updates and instructions. Please visit www.linksys.com.

There was already a Q in the FAQ about firmware updates, so I'll blend this into that one. See the First Look thread for the update...

If I may Drew, I would try to add something to the effect that although there may be a CD included the preferred method of installation would be through the receiver. The CD should be used as an alternative.

This would go with how we were told to test this product. That way when the First Look is released we are educating the we were supposed to be doing. IMHO.
