I have an HTPC with a dual TV tuner card that has HD and SD tuners. Coax input only on both tuners. The PC has all the other standard inputs as well.

Now that I have the 722 hooked up I am recording shows directly to the 722. But I would also like to use the HTPC to record some shows. I would prefer to be able to record in High Def when available.

Is there a method to connect the 722 directly to a PC running Vista Ultimate? USB? I have DVI on the Video card, but that is probably only output. Network (RJ45)? Any other options?

Your only option is the TV2 coax output on the 722 that is only SD.

Output 2 is controlled by RF only.

You would be better off getting a single box and a USB IR blaster to control the box.

When they figure out how to record on a PC with Component or HDMI we will all be standing in line for that card. ;)

The Matrox RT.X2 PICe card (component input) will do that, but its a $1,500 card which works super in a $3,000+ computer. It'll be a while before I stand in line for that one.
