Next question: is this the same sort of thing?
Edit: It's apparently a Steren 221-365.
Next thing you know, someone is going to tell him to use a stubby, and he's going to get a size complex.
Come on now, let's play nice. This has to be a place where everyone can come to ask questions without getting picked on.
Please stay on topic and no more personal attacks.
huh, tried the search, still no luck.
Not that im looking for it anymore, just checking on your guys ability to help someone and it is very hard to follow what you say. No luck at all.
Did search, it brought up numerous unrelated stuff from the sat install site, found a few links where i thought it was it, but nope, they were links to the other style under eave mount. Found a bunch of 404 not available links in the same listing.
So are there any MR know it alls can that actually help someone?
again, i found my answer, but judging your help ability you get a zero.....
I step in and help when people crap on you but then you follow my post with this? Makes me wonder if I'm trying to help the wrong side....
What a coincidence, that's the same score we've given to an installer we know on his install ability.
You found it? What the...
By the way, this Mr. Know-it-all found it by using Google images. It took less than 30 seconds.
I went to Google images and typed in 'under eave mount Directv'. Look for it in the sixth row.
After I found the installation instructions, I goggled the part number and found the photo.
Again, you're welcome.
Ya thanks! Im not talking about you, im talking about the other guys here that are never any help and just post up satinstalltraining.com messages because it makes them feel better inside....
You know who they are that cause issues for no reason. I do appreciate people that try to help, i offer help when i can also.
For some reason they guys get their kicks by bashing on someone that they dont even know.
On top of that, i follow their instructions on searching and they are wrong, then tell me i dont know what im doing.
Perhaps if there were more talk about how to install and less complaining about people these threads would go better. If one does not find a post helpful, move on to the next post - If one does not wish to be helpful, move on to the next thread - complaining does not enhance the thread.
So that being said, anyone have anything to say about the mount? That is what this thread is for.
Do not reply to the comments about each other ... talk about the mount.
search 'under eave adapter'
first link. find on page, under eave (rafter)
not that hard.
also, search on stubby mount while your there, might as well get on that bandwagon early.
edit to add: seems i missed a page in the thread.... he's found it.
The mount is wonderful when you have to use it, but it's a last resort type of mount.... it's one step short of a pole mount.
I'm still wondering if this is a currently approved mount. I've got one in my garage When I saved it from veteran tech de-junking his garage. it looked interesting.
Btw the new stubby mount is AMAZING. So much quicker not having to deal with monopoles. However I do worry a bit that down the road it's going to mean service calls and dish relocates. I make sure I hit the studs every time i do an install, but I've cleaned up tons of installs where the previous tech just threw the dish up there. With stubby mount if you don't put It in the studs/rafters I foresee dish being out of align in a couple months.
