I know the one I got with the H21 is not RF and I could not find a model number on the dang thing anywhere. Someone told me it was a RC64.

The RC64 "family" has the code that will work completely with the 32" Vizio TV's. The RC64R that I have now works perfectly but it's not backlit so I ordered the RC64RB.

It should be the same code as with the RC64R, 11758 I think. It's the last code listed for Vizio on the HR21.

Just for the record, my RC34 remote didn't have a nub on the 5 key, so its been gone for awhile ...

That is correct. 11758 is the code I used for my Vizio VX32L with the RC64R. It does let you control the TV Input by pressing mute and select together again after setting that code, then pressing 9 6 0.

The fact that I remembered the code, while at work, should tell you how many times I've tried to make it work on my RC32RB.

My RC34, pictured in the "HR21 vs HR20 (Differences)" thread did have a nub on the 5. It was only a single nub compared to the RC23 and RC24 that had a double nub, but it was there on the dot of the j. The dash was also still raised on the RC34 as well. Now no buttons are raised on the RC64 and without it being backlit that, IMO, makes the remote un-usable in the dark which is how I watch TV.

Interesting. Neither of my RC34s have a nub on the "5" key, but both have the nub on the dash key. I got my first HR20 in March and the second in July, so maybe the remote manufacture date has something to do with it?

I do agree that the "5" key needs to have the nub, but I don't care about the dash key having it.

Yeah, if you only could have one key with a nub it would have to be the 5.

I should be getting my RC64RB tomorrow so I'll let you know if it has any nubs at all. I'll also take an updated pic of all the versions of the remote I have for comparison if needed.

It may even be an accessibility or A.D.A. issue, so I join everyone else in being surprised.

Ok, I got my RC64RB this morning [Yup, Saturday] and I've been able to take some pics. Looks wise it's just like the RC64R, no nubs, except it's backlit. The back light is now white, it was blue-ish on my RC32RF.

And yes, the Vizio code works to change inputs on this one like it does the RC64R.

    I've put 2 pics below. One of all 7 types or remotes I have [RC23, RC24, RC32, RC32RF, RC34, RC64R, RC64RB] and another of the RC64RB lit compared to the RC32RF lit.

Just curious, with the RC64RB what do you do to get the lights to turn on? This would be a good bedroom remote since my Harmony was flaky.

Holy Moley....looks like a D*TV Remote Assembly Line - You'll be needing all those Domino Dot Stickers by the dozen just to keep things straight. :D
