Greetings, I just filled up my Seagate 750 GB drive with shows that I like, 90% are the "Modern Marvel Shows", HOW IT's MADE, etc, is there a way for me to watch them any other way on a TV? I am now using a Antec Veris MX-1 with a 1 TB.
Is there a way to transfer the data to DVD's, then format the drive and use it as a backup unit for my PC?

    Thank you

I believe you can only watch those shows on the DVR that recorded them. I think they are "encrypted" and the key to the encryption is on your access card and could use an algorithm based on your access card # or RID # that would make a unique key for every DVR... Like I said, I think....

Dodge Boy is right, except for his spelling. :)

The recordings on the drive can only be shown on the DVR they were recorded on because they are encrypted. The only way to get them to DVD is to hook the drive back up to the DVR and use a DVD recorder, or video capture on your PC, to record them.

Beware, pedants are everywhere. Self included from time to time, sometimes by choice, sometimes by nature.

(pedant: a: one who makes a show of knowledge b: one who is unimaginative or who unduly emphasizes minutiae in the presentation or use of knowledge c: a formalist or precisionist in teaching)
