I wish they would never do this, or at least put their "freeview" on a different channel. I hate all the advertising they do during this time. We that pay for the channel shouldn't have to see all this advertising (bottom of screen during shows, etc.)

Must be on the HD feeds only. During the last few "previews" I didn't see any promos at all (in SD).

If you record an On Demand show to your DVR during the Free Preview can you watch only during the Free Preview or is it available for viewing after the Free Preview finishes?

I wouldn't call "downgrading" to cable a bargain. :sure:

I do not believe the On Demand portion will work during the free preview. Neither will HBO Go or Showtime Anywhere.

I thought On Demand worked during the preview, but anything downloaded wouldn't play after the preview was over, unlike regular recordings.

That is what I was wondering. Is this confirmed that anything downloaded wouldn't play after the preview is over?

Recently during a freeview I was not able to download anything. Always thought it was weird but maybe they were just not able to remove it after the free preview. Anyone else been able to for channels they dont sup (download during free preview)?

I order for DOD to "work" there has to be a "fee" tied to the account. So when you get HBO free for 3 months as a new customer, you will see you are being charged and then a credit is given. When there is a free preview, DirecTV just opens up the HBO on the access cards, thus no fees are involved and DOD is not available
