So my 2-year ATT/DirecTV contract ended in November, and my bill was raised by $5/month. Then DirecTV announced that they're increasing rates, and as of early February, my bill was raised by $3/month. It doesn't sound like a lot on a monthly basis, but that comes out to $96/year.

I have to figure out when I cancel ATT/DirecTV, and get internet through cable and start streaming?

Unfortunately, I may have to replace DirecTV with DirecTV-Now. Such stupidity...

You might want to try it before you cancel.

And watch your billing cycle. AT&T no longer refunds pro-rated amounts of your monthly bill. So I'd cancel effective 1-2 days before your next cycle.

Suspend Your DIRECTV account before you try streaming. If streaming doesn't work out you can cancel and reactivate your DIRECTV account.
