It's there for me, on 206 as usual

    If you're looking for Denver/Oakland, it's on ESPN2HD until the Pats/Fins end

So what do you get when you tune those channels? Any on-screen message?

I'm getting DirecTV Cinema, for Thor as video, the game as audio.

Hit chan up once and it went to 208, went down twice and got the right video. Weird.

Sorry guys, Been on the phone with D as well as putting kids to bed.
Here is the scoop. According to DTV, this is a widespread issue, possibly originating with ESPN, but the can't seem to figure it out. They've bumped it up to a higher level, and I assume that means they've thrown up their hands. I get no ESPN HD channels at all, when I tune in to them, all I get is a gray screen.
All other HD channels are fine (yes, I checked).
this is not the first time this has happened with ESPN. I wish they would get it figured out, it is getting annoying.

Hmm... That's very strange... The game (Oakland/Denver) looks great here in HD. I just flipped it on about 30 minutes ago.

Walked in tonight, tried to tune in ESPN, nothing. Same gray screen. 3 days is ridiculous.
DTV CS is non-existent. They have no idea why.
I've rebooted so many times I'm worried I'll fry my DVR ;-)
    Any ideas out there?

Yes. For the third time I went through every single channel that is HD and verified that it is coming in.
    Except of course ESPN.

Hm, I don't work tomorrow but I will run in and ask around. I might possibly call around tonight if anyone who worked knows anything. I will pm you if I find anything out on the status.

Do you only have 1 receiver? If you have more then 1, is ESPN HD not coming in across all your receivers?

to get the ESPN HD channel, as well as a ton of other HD channels, you have to go to dishnetwork.com & register for their 'Free HD for Life' program - there's no fee, but you have to agree to 2 more yrs of service.

if you bundle your phone & dish bills together, they'll charge your credit card $1 & refund it within a week. if you're not 'bundled', they make you sign up for paperless billing & autopay... so bundling seems a better option (the phone bill includes the dish bill - with a $5 monthly discount to boot)

i think i doubled the amount of HD programs i was getting, with the 200 channel pkg, when i registered...

And how was all that HD programming on Dish yesterday?...oops, you had none nationwide.

The issue the OP is talking about seems to be an isolated issue as most others here are not having issues with the ESPN HD channels. DirecTV is working on it and I'm certain they'll find a solution.

Yes, it is the same with both the upstairs and downstairs DVR's ( which are the same model...HR-20)
I just checked both again this morning. Gray screen of death is gone, but I now get a horribly pixellated, no audio, frozen picture that skips every 10 seconds or so.
So it looks like we are making progress, but far from fixed.

Have you tried reauthorizing the receivers? You can do this from the website, on the "My equipment" tab.

It sounds like a problem with the customer's LNB or multiswitch.
