Lost local Fox and NBC to "outrageous rate demands", hope it gets settled better than the 2 month deal. Like pretty much every WY station these are rather rinky dink stations so who knows what will happen.

Too bad I can no longer get Denver channels, been 2 years since they were shut off. Of course if I have cable in town I can still get Denver channels, real fair. Or I could do like some I know and have a mailing address in CO or another county where Denver channels are still aired.

I am guessing these are not the only two channels to have the contract come up at the end of last year and not come to terms.

Since Denver is on Spot Beam, doubt you would be able to view them in WY even if you use a valid address.

No I had them for 5 years and they are provided further North than I am. In fact I know of a place 3 miles away that has them as I type because they have a CO billing address.

Than you for staying honest and keeping your address accurate. Hopefully the disagreement with your market's locals can be settled soon and you'll be back to viewing the networks.

There were a couple of channels mentioned in other threads that were pulled and put back last month. I don't know of any others that had a January 1st deadline that wasn't met.

You notice its always a FOX station? There may be more than FOX, but FOX is always right up there in the money grubbing.

What is sad, is I can watch the station he lost here in Arkansas on C band :) for free!

NYC I lost all channels also. Rebooting etc did nothing. Had to call to have tech correct the problem. I am getting fed up with DN.
Shortly after I received an email stating that the replacement receiver I requested is being shipped. I never asked for a replacement receiver.

Too bad for DN tomorrow I leave for 1 month, should UPS leave the receiver at my door step and it disappears.

Live in Scottsbluff Nebraska. Lost Dish channels after midnight. Lost Fox and ABC out of Cheyenne as Dish considers these my locals. No NFC playoffs or NBA playoffs for me I guess! Will contact Dish about any temporary fixes like they did for my big 10 network problem. This sucks! No Warnings about this was made public.

But, I know a guy in Chicago, who lives three miles from the towers, and he says he can't get a single OTA signal. So, how could they reach Nebraska? :D

The irony to this is that DISH's uplink center is in Cheyenne.

As for what you can do; probably nothing other than to try to get the the FOX affiliate from Cheyenne or Fort Collins (Colorado) (Denver FOX affiliate translator on what was analog UHF32) over the air. As for NBC, you may be able to get KUSA from Denver, over the air, form one of its translators near the Colorado/Wyoming border (Weld or Larimer County). This could work if you are close to the Colorado border.

Checked http://www.tvfool.com for Scottsbluff, and it shows an ABC station you should be able to get with an small antenna outside. Fox station would be much more difficult.
If you have C band, you can get all networks free. Maybe you know someone with an old C band dish they arent using?

I think Fox charges their affiliates more than the other networks so they are trying to recoup the extra money. Other than that, it is up to the TV station owners to negotiate with Dish and not the network.

Try TVfool.com and antennaweb.com and see if it is worth it to try and pick up the stations OTA. Hopefully, there isn't a mountain between you and the transmitter.

All American Direct. They provide distant networks to those who can't get them via Dish. I doubt you would qualify for distant networks since you are already in a market served by Dish.
