This new look is awesome. It's NICE
Yeah, looks nice! They must have changed it right after the last game ended tonight.
They Did. I was watching it when they changed it. It Looks Spectacular.
Yah changed the font.
why wait for after the free preview to show it off?
To test it?
Save that screenshot - it is showing "Astros Win" - that won't happen too often this year.
Too many exclamation points! Otherwise, very nice.
I am pretty sure I won't be able to see the mix channel as I don't sub to MLB - but is it 720-1, or another channel?
Has it recently shifted from SD to HD?
They could hire a part time "sports guy" to put in "clever" individualized titles, such as "Giants in a Squeaker!"; "Angels Blank Indians!"; "Mariners Best Tronna"; "Astros Paw Cubbies", and so forth......
That way, each exclamation point would be 'unique' to each banner, and therefor not seem so redundant.
Apologies for the glare.. but here it is with games in progress
Thanks! Sure must be HD to get that amount of detail. Was the change recent? Can someone put a date on when that mix went HD?
MLB Mix has been HD for the last two seasons (?).
What changed was that they just updated the look yesterday to what you see here.
I do think that the SCOREGUIDE text in the lower left gives us an idea of where they are going with the HD GUI. Not sure if we can gather much of anything else out of the picture.
Looks good, except for that "tail" floating underneath the word "Game" at the top. Seems like it should be attached to either the "E" or the "M."
The whole thing could stand to be lowered a bit. The letters "MLB" are very close to the top, but there is plenty of space at the bottom. It looks out of center to me.
That could be due to how his TV handles overscan.
Using "just scan" on my TV, it is lower, but I get a black bar across the bottom of the screen. Beachmonkey's original image shows how it looks with "just scan" off, with "MLB" right at the top of the screen.
