DirecTV has Tr3s it just needs the Spanish package. But that could change down the road if they continue in their direction of becoming a fully bilingual network like mun2 did and was recently moved to one of the regular tiers.

RLTV was on for a while, but I think that was one of those the channel pays D* deals.

Actually some OTA sub channels are being broadcast in HD along with the primary channel. Example here in San Francisco KGO 7.1 soap operas are also broadcasting 7.2 in HD LivingWell programs.

Ah Live Well HD the nightmare of sports fans trying to watch a game on an ABC O&O. Word is some of the engineering staff, who are tech buffs, were against it too, but it was forced on them by corporate.

    Name them.

I betcha you can't. Do a 100 HD channels even exist? I mean, not every channel has an HD variant....

One has to question any time someone comes to DBSTalk with <10 posts and then makes a blanket, strongly-opinionated statement, just to get a reaction or vent.

The simple answer - the premise of the question is too broad. Other than that, debating this point is a combination of deja vu & nausea.

The Fireplace Channel is also missing .. would be great during the cold winter months.

It is just a live remote shot of a crackling fire in an upscale fireplace.

Just watching it will entertain you and save you on heating bill .. the channel makes you feel warmer.

Why is DirecTV refusing to carry this channel .. also available in HD.

OK folks, I'd say this one is asked and answered. We have an established anticipation thread and the original poster certainly has made his point of view known.
