still having the issue here.
Have you guys that are having the issue resent the authorization to your receiver(s)?
I just did the reauthorization and it fixed my problems with not getting the HD feeds on League Pass. Thanks so much! This was pissing me off but and I was dreading calling DirecTV about it (the typical reset your receiver stuff didn't fix it but I knew I would have to jump through those hoops).
I was having the greyed out CSN Bay Area HD during Warriors games for the past week but tonight it was normal. Hopefully everything is straightened out now.
Mine was corrected, then went back Gray.
I reauthorized again tonight, still gray...
Add me to the list of Direct TV customer who lost the ability to record FOX Sports North about a week ago. Like the rest of you, I can watch it, but it is "grayed out" and I can therefore NOT record it. Also like many of you, I have been in contact with DirecTV who have "re-authorized" both of my DVR boxes to no avail, and I have done "hard resets" (powered down) both units and that hasn't worked either. DirecTV is not taking any responsibility for this, and their customer service reps are completely in way over their heads when you try to get any kind of help or even an acknowledgment of the problem. I need this resolved to record my MN. Wild hockey to watch when I can't watch it live. Has anyone any advice about getting this hugely widespread problem fixed or even reporting how massive a problem it is, and how many customers it is affecting???? HELP!!
CSN Chicago seems to be ok now.
So here's the latest experience. Yesterday, I was receiving (and seeing it in the grid, and able to record it...) FOX Sports North just fine until right before the MN. Wild Hockey game at 6:00 (cst) when it again "grayed out" and disappeared from the grid and would not allow me to record it ("This receiver is not authorized to receive this channel." WRONG!!!) Again, I could manually enter 6-6-8 and watch the game, but it was still "grayed out" on the mini-grid, and I could not record it. The interesting part is that, like last Saturday when I first experienced this, I found the game feeding (via FOX Sports North productions,) on a channel reserved for the paid/premium Center Ice network package. So I'd be interested to hear from others who are also experiencing this problem, if you find your regional sports channel being fed on an additional channel normally reserved for a premium sports package, and if you can reciord it from that location. I await any and all responses. I again have sent all of this info to DirecTV, and they have told me that everything is fine there...Nice customer service. :nono:
if you purchased centre ice, you have always had the ability to watch your local channel feed in the 700 series of channels.
I had the same problem as others have reported.
For me, the affected channels were 631 (Yes Network) and 660 (Fox Sports Ohio). The CSR with whom I spoke on November 11 had heard of the problem and thought it was localized to specific Fox Sports Channels. He was under the impression that it was a DirecTV software issue which had been already corrected.
When he was unable to solve the problem through reauthorization or restarting the receiver, he arranged for his supervisor to send a message to the engineering department, informing them of the problem.
As I now write, on November 12, the problem has disappeared. Since the problem has disappeared before and then reappeared, I am holding my breath.
SportSouth(649) has been going gray before games come on that I am in market for.
To clarify...I have had them reauthorize both of my receivers twice...No Good!
I have reset both of my receivers twice...No Good!
I have unplugged for several minutes both of my receivers twice...No Good!
The problem has gone away in the past, until just prior to air time when it "grays out" and the recording fails...No Good!
I have never purchased the Center Ice package, so I should never be seeing anything on it, let along games as covered/produced by FOX Sports North.
I have just written to FOX Sports North to see if they have heard anything about this, and in fact sent them the link to this forum. I am leaning towards agreeing with stususs that this is a DirecTV software issue, and they are not going to admit it, until they have a "fix" and send the upgrade to the boxes when we are sleeping, (or are least aware of it!)
