By any chance will CBS-HD ever move.. Kinda aggravating putting up 61.5 dish just for CBS-HD. But when college football rolls around you gotta have it...

Since not everybody qualiies for it, it probably will be where it is

    119 is pretty much packed
110 has some room now that Dallas & Denver are going to spotbeam

Yes I currently have a superdish, and like a idiot. I just took down my 61.5.. why I don't know. I had the installer come out to put in my superdish and he took down my dish pro 500 and my dish pro 300 and put up the super dish.. We didn't leave up my 61.5 b/c at the time I didn't have the dp44 switch and he talked me into taking it down.. but i'm gonna climb back up and put it back I guess, cause its still mounted to pole the same and if I put in same spot I should be able to get my signal back..hehe... sounds simple.. just gotta buy that $169 switch dp44!!!

I read somewhere else you can cascade a DP21 off of a DP34...so you may not have to get the DP44

I know you can cascade a DP21 off of a DP44 for 5 satellite output, so you should be able to do it to a DP34 for 4 satellite

Would not work with DP34 and DP21... my receiver would only find the 21 with two sat's

Sounds like it's not configured right and/or you didn't reet the switch matrix.

Of course, the 61.5 dish is DishPro. It goes into the DP21 Sat-2 input. A DP34 port - NOT port 1 (conflicts with power inserter) - goes into the Sat-1 input.

Now, disconnect the satellite feed from the receiver. Run Check Switch. Pull the power plug. Run Check Switch AGAIN. Connect the satellite feed. Run Check Switch and all should be good.

The DP34 has to be on side 1 of the DP21 and the extra satellite on satellite 2. Then of course only DishPro recievers like the 811 will see it. The reciever connects to the DP21.

It is a joke that CBS-HD East and West are not on the 119 or 110 satellite. Just another example of Dish's unorganized channel bandwidth.

It's a demand issue. It needs to be financially worthwhile to put the CBS-HD channel on a full CONUS bird instead of some other channel that might be available to all consumers. The question is how to increase demand for the service. Congress is considering legislation that would allow consumers to receive not only CBS, but ABC, NBC, and FOX in HD. The availability of all network channels in HD would likely increase consumer demand, and DISH Network would be likely to make all four channels availabe on the main birds.

The best thing that you can do is support the "digital white area" provision of the satellite home viewer act. You can send a letter of support to your member of congress by visiting www.iwantmyhdtv.com. Calling your elected officials is even better!!!

Even if we get the new Shiva, Dish still plans on putting the east and west networks on 61.5 and 148 respectivly, it's actually part of the bill to allow them to do it that way, so don't expect any networks to go on 110 ;)

CBS-HD have never been anywhere else than the wings. Originally the other HD was on the wings WITH CBS-HD, but most moved to 110 and new HD was added starting late last year.

Do NOT expect the regular HD feed of any broadcast network to appear on 110 or 119. The space isn't there for all of the feeds.
