    Dripping...
If you can get a HR44 and C41 clients I think just about everyone would be happy with the UI performance.

I'm still finding my 31 & 41 "about the same". Maybe mine have been on the "newer" update a bit longer than others

Start up is still the biggest lag, but once over this neither are that bad.

I believe the difference comes from which Genie you are using, not which client.

I think the C31 and 41 are both slower when paired with the HR34, and both faster when paired with the HR44 (at least this is what I gather from reading posts here, I don't have any of them to test myself).

I've read the same posts, but don't see much/any sign of it here.

Slow/fast seems to be the hard thing to quantify. Neither of mine are that much of a problem [other than startup], so maybe this is why I don't see a big difference.

Do you still have trouble with using Fast Forward/Rewind etc and navigating the guide and menus? For example pushing the down arrow 3 times to move down three places and end up way down the list much more than 3 places?

If so, I'd put that in the category of 'slow' rather than 'fast' but that's just me! :)

I don't do a lot of fast Forwarding/Rewind. I skip to tick at most.
Navigating the guide and menus [just rechecked] didn't miss a stroke. One press gets one, two-two, 3-3.
Now bring up the menu/guide/or anything else takes longer than a DVR.
Press menu and you don't get to do anything until the graphics load. This is common with everything using the client.

A client in my "main room" just doesn't cut it after using a DVR.
A client in my bedroom works fairly well.
