Unless the 24 has a channel I watch channel 799 and then flip through the other drivers during commercials. The DVR has ruined me as far as being able to sit through commercial breaks and not keeping track while there is green flag racing. For me it would be like the NFL or some other sport running plays during a commercial break.

I'll vote YES, but with an explaination...

-I like the #88 (Jr.) but he does not need to be on EVERY week (only missed the road courses this year).
-It need more than 4 drivers
-Cut the censorship! We are adults and paid for access, treat us as such.
-Drop all the extra commentators (talent). I don't need Hermie Sadler yakking all the time.
-Stop saying "we" all the time. You (we) are not part of the team! Quit with the lame butt commentary.
-DROP THE COMMERCIALS!!! We pay for the service, we should not have commercials!!! InDemand did not, D* should not!

No.... They are stuck on same drivers. I would like to see other drivers in the mix.

My vote is YES, this will be my third year and I switched from being a 10 year dish network customer specifically and only for Hotpass..

B.U.T. >>> I would like to see some improvements!!

Hotpass channels need to be more interactive. It would be awesome if viewers could choose the view they want (in the car, chase view, outside etc)

The current picture-in-picture format is hit or miss depending on who at Hotpass is selecting the views!!! Plus the picture-in-picture format wastes so much real estate on the screen. Even on my 60 inch tv I find it hard to follow the action in the smaller windows sometimes.

I find myself switching between the 99 and the super channel often because some of the views on the driver channels dont show enough of the other action. (the tight zoom in on the side of the car running in circles for 50 laps is a classic example)

Finally, the commercials sux.. Even if you can switch to team radio to avoid the annoyance its still bad.. when you pay for a premium channel (HBO etc) you dont have to deal with them so why should we on hotpass?!!?

Rumor is that Hotpass has been cancelled by DTV and Nascar for 2009.

No surprises in the article. The writing was on the wall starting in Sept and it was just a matter of time til the powers that be figured out June Bug nation can't save Hotpass.

I have got to figure out how to get Trackpass to work on my Mac. :)

No surprise to me either and I'm a Junior fan. I couldn't take the poor censorship and had already decided to not renew in 09.

I had read somewhere on here probably, that the censorship is mandated by Nascar and not DTV. It's my biggest complaint as well.

Anyway, I voted yes and hope it's not cancelled.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but I never understood Hotpass. Aren't all of those races broadcast anyway? I mean, I have NHL Center Ice just so I can watch the Islanders in Nevada. If the Islanders were always broadcast on Vs. there would be no reason for me to pay extra for the games.

A NASCAR race has no real breaks like other sports, so missing anything for commercial time is a big problem. The other issue is we have 43 "players" and they can't possibly show them all at once. In other words, there is a ton going on that the regular broadcast doesn't cover that we want to see. In most sports this isn't really the case. If you follow the ball/puck you see pretty much all you need to see.

Agree with you there - would love to have this option for F1 racing.
