    Nick and everyone at DBSTalk,

Thanks for running this contest. It was tons of fun reading all the archived threads and learning so much about all of you...too much, in some cases!!!

I'll have to chat with Richard offline to see some of his lightning shots. As you might be able to tell from my DBSTalk Username...I'm a huge fan of weather myself.

Yes, I must give some credit to Danny for steering me in the correct direction on Nick. I had several choices for several of the mods and was trying to pinpoint each one. To be honest with you, Danny...until I saw the photo of his patio, I was skeptical that you were trying to steer me in the wrong direction. (must be watching too much Survivor!).

I wasn't able to find quirk information on several of the mods. But once I got down to 3 or 4 mods left, I was able to search a combination of the mods and the favorite movies to increase my likelihood of a match.

Oh, and finally Danny, I won't be in the AR contest this season...1) can't win the top prize, 2) wife won't allow me to enter too many contests at once, 3) this seemed like the internet search part of your contest already!!! :)
Onto the CBS Survivor Palau contest for me!

    The...
The original "quirks" and "fav flicks" were provided by the respective mods, themselves, as were additional "quirks".

I "data-mined" additional "clues" from past posts by doing a "site-search" on select admin/mod's usernames. There were no 'dark horses', 'sleight-of-hand' or other tricks employed in the presentation of the contest. It was lots of fun for me as well, and I really appreciate the participation of the contestants, and the collateral posts by various members.

    ------------

Maybe the next such contest I do will be a "Where in The World is Usama bin Laden" fantasy search, with clues which will ultimately lead to UBL's (fantasy) location. Now I'm in search of possible titles...

    What's in a name...?

    The Hunt for UBL...?

    Where in the World...?

    Hoosier Daddy...?

    I want my Usama...?

Exactly where is that SOB? (submitted by a member of U.S. Special Forces who's name I cannot reveal ;))

    UBL Scratch-Off...?

Congrats to TStorms for winning and thanks to Nick for running the contest.

    :goodjob:

I guess I should have changed some of my answers a second time. I knew that a few were wrong, based on later clues, but figured it was too late in the game.

So TStorms, what prize are you picking? :)

I figured I'd be pretty easy, considering how much I've talked about my love of the underwater world on here...scuba instructor and all that. :)

    Richardson,...
I thought I was obscuring my identity since Science Fiction and Anime stick put like a sore thumb, and that I had previously mentioned my large DVD collection. Guess I was wrong.

I don't recall if I have ever stated what my favorite movies were. However, I do have a T6 connection and I have talked about it in several threads, I even used the Canopy(TM) array as my avatar for about 3 months (Back again temporarily). I also had an avatar shot of Brando and Sinatra out of the broadway musical "Guys and Dolls" as my avatar for about a month. I did say "Boolean was a putz" and "I hate math" right here on DBSTalk which should show up in a search from around Aug 04 time frame. Beyond that my profile states I am an engineer and I believe I have stated this in the forum as well. 11 people had me correct so I have to say good job guys. :)

Nick's clue...the veterans in here have to remember his old avatar which was a dish tree? :D I saved the pic cause I was impressed on how clean of an install it was. With Nick's permission I could post. :sure:

Good job guys and gals and congrats TStorms.

Actually I believe I have mentioned a few times regarding my Parnormal interest. If not, you could have found a clue by remember what my tag line was before I became a Mod. It read "They weren't green" which if I recall was a response when Ramey was asked what the "Little Green Men" looked like.

My tag line even provided a hint.

So In some cases hints were there for the taking.

I believe I found tell-tale evidence for all but three of the mods (the ones I got wrong) that, while not guaranteeing them to be matches, certainly gave strong supporting evidence.

    Congratulations TStorms.

Art...My wife loves' to attend. I don't necessarily like the plots but a good "LIVE" performance is great, and if it weren't for the theater we wouldn't have movies today now would we? ;) It's a great way to get out away from the kids and have 4 hours of fun. Just like the Opera. SO THERE! :jump3:

Ron was making fun of me last week for listing Pearl Harbor as a favorite, you must remember that you don't have to like the plot in order to like the flick. I happen to like Pearl Harbor because it has an awesome 6.1 surround track. I like flicks that sound real good. Yes you can keep the love story part, but the action scenes sound awesome.
