After enabling VoD over 6 weeks ago and not being about to access channel 1000 - I woke up this morning to find my HR20-700 tuned to channel 1010. I thought that was strange because when I went to bed last night it was recording two shows - one on CBS and one on NBC and I knew there was no other recording after that.

I then checked the On Demand menu and sure enough I was able to see the filter menu.

I then checked my account and noticed this new item:
    HR20 New Service - Charge $0.00

Like they say: All good things come to those that have patience.

    VoD Enabled !

I also found my HR20-700 on channel 1010 this morning, as it was yesterday. However, today the VOD menu option is operational and the forty or so channels in the 1000-1200 range are in the guide. So I took it to the next level and I'm currently downloading a video about Johnny Ramone.

My waiting period for VOD to get auto-enabled was about four weeks.

I also checked my account and noticed this new item: HR20 New Service - Charge $0.00

Thank you DirecTV. Now, let's get the other software issues resolved.

    "Let there be DOD!"

    And there was DOD.

It showed up on my box this morning as well. And likewise, there was the same charge: "HR20 New Service - Charge" on my account activity.

    Thanks, folks!

    Now to the testing....

I've had DoD working for a few weeks now. It came on right after enabling it in the second round CE. However, my HR20 was also tuned to 1010 yesterday (Monday) morning.

They must have been testing or something?! It does make me wonder what kind of control can be had from the receiver though, since it is tied to the internet...humm!

Me too. It just so happens that today is the first day of my billing cycle with DirecTV. Is that the case for everyone else who got enabled today? I was pleasantly surprised to turn on the TV this morning and see it tuned to channel 1010. I also have the HR20 new service charge listed on my bill.

Another one finally activated - will play/test this evening when I get home- hopefully the guide data has populated during the day today.

Welp, just checked it and I have my On Demand. There's no HD but I'm testing the downloading now. Weird thing is the guide changed a bit too, there are like advertisements in my guide for certain DirecTV shows. I'll investigate this some more...
