DOH! DUH! My bad. Ok makes sense, but I didn't think they made them for RG59.
Oh yeh. Most analog CCTV systems are RG59 Compression for them has been around for awhile
I'm thinking about possible physical damages to the cables ..you know... rats, mice, racoons, perhaps nail/screw punched it, etc
Did this instead of fishing a new cable. Then I swapped my HR54 & C41W locations - all is good! Thank you.
The added benefit is now I can easily run a cable from the antenna in my attic to the HR54 when (and if) the LCC is available in the Boston market. The HR54 is now in our guest room on my second floor.
Now for the hardest part - calling D* to swap out my C41W for a C61K.
Truck roll scheduled for Monday AM.
I know we all get a kick out of these stories - I'll keep you posted. I work from home now, so it really doesn't matter to me when they arrive. I chose 8 to noon for obvious reasons, but we'll see!
By the way, when I moved the cables around on my splitter, I noticed an untapped 'port' - shouldn't that be 'capped off'? I'll be putting the cable I removed (was going to the family room where the 4K will be) on the port where the WVBR0 is now, still leaving an open 4th port.
We had a foot of snow last night. The storm ended around 9am this morning. The tech arrived at 3:30pm and took only 15 minutes to do his thing. He even gave me a cap for the unused port on the splitter.
The picture is fantastic. Glad I did this!
Every bit as good as 4k from my Apple TV.
