But you get better prices at walmart
than at albertsons food stores, I had a cousin working at albertsons earning more, than another cousin working at walmart, no wonder albertson is more expensive, they pay better wages to their workers.

I'm disappointed pjmrt. You are able to put your Christianity aside when it gets in the way of political decisions? You have a Christianity based on situational ethics? And you criticize me for my Christianity? The reason we so often disagree is that I face ALL situations from the point of view "What Would Jesus Do", not just the ones that don't require any real sacrifice or tough decisions.

    Another of my peccadillos!

    Tomcrown!

    Your signature makes no sense!

Is your life pointed towards, going in the direction of "short"?

I assume you mean "too, too, too".

    Please correct it.

It's a lame enough signature as it is, at least try to keep it from being too nonsensical!:nono:

Nick, no need to thank me.;)

Why? Because sometimes I lose my cool? Even Jesus did, when others were being wronged. Look back and see how many times it has been because of someone else being attacked, like my kids.
Or is it because I have some beliefs that are different than what you think "good" Christians should have? Jesus said the most important commandment was to love. Show me where I have not followed that, and I will apologize. At least I do that. There are others who claim to be Christians who can never bring themselves to admit they were wrong and apologize. I don't claim to be perfect, but I don't say I love my neighbor and then recommend nuking another nation.

There are more than a few folks who have twisted "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" into either of the following:

    1. Do unto others as they do unto you (not treating them well or better, but reciprocating their poor behavior)

    or

    2. Do unto others before they do unto you (the pre-emptive strike recommendations)

    :(

I think the Baptist priests who have molested young boys also give sermons.

    But that wasn't the question.

It was a fairly simple "have you ever read the Bible of which you are speaking?" question that I think I asked about 3 times now and each time got a dodgy answer.

A simple yes or no would suffice. It isn't like I would quiz you on the contents. The evasiveness in the answers tells more than simply ignoring the question would have.

Ah yes a Walmart mentallity...... You know the cost of everything but the value of nothing...... It is worth it, to me, to pay a little extra so my neighbor can earn a little more. I also find it disgusting that Walmart dumps 90% of it's full time employees on state funded medical programs, programs I bet you'd like to stop mr. Opynion. And you probably have the gull and call yourself a Christian..... let me tell you something obout opions my. opynion... opinions are like *******s, everyone's got one, and yours stinks.

ok 90% may be a bit high more like 60-70% but 1% is still too high to accept from a company as big and successful as wal-mart. The're out, I don't shop there, my girlfriend doesn't either since we started dating and I educated her to their abuses.

That I actually did see in an article some time ago. and as I stated 1% is too high and they have too many violations..... Undocumented workers, locking cleanup crews in stores where the're not open 24/7, forcing employees to work off the clock and not giving breaks, not paying over time, those are just the things they have been sued for.

But if you have the power to act, to prevent someone else from nuking another nation - and you do nothing to prevent it. Have you not, by default, added your name to those doing the nuking?

I sense a dangerous slope here.

We could prevent bad things happening between parties that disagree all over the world. By extension of this concept, we're also responsible for genocides in Africa.
