I've been hearing a local ad for Comcast that includes a line that is very misleading. (Well, most of their ads are misleading, it appears.) It says "Are you buying what the dish is selling? Only Comcast offers High-Definition, Digital Video Recording, and On-Demand." While I know their lawyers will say only Comcast offers ALL THREE TOGETHER (On-Demand being the only one Comcast offers exclusively), the announcer reads it as if only Comcast gives you High-Definition and DVR capability and satellite can't. I know this issue has been addressed at length before, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I know Directv has been guilty of something similar with their "1,500 HD Channels" ad, making customers think they can watch 1,500 HD channels at their house. Still, they can't touch Comcast's degree of deception.
