This is us waiting for the update on the HR21..... Just joking, I am just patiently waiting.
echos of the H21 threads... are we there yet?
Hey, we may not have an HR21, but we have had an update ..
it'll be here soon... I feel it.
I think you are right...for several reasons.....
Please define "soon" . . . inquiring minds want to know.
Oh yeah? Well the HR21 is so good that it doesn't NEED any updates!*

We could tell...
Yeah, no kidding.
Every day this week coming out of standby I've had black screen. I think the unit is getting worse with time because I didn't have these issues for the first 3 weeks we had it.
The time between now and then.
With the new channels, DOD, Remote Booking, and other new toys...I'm sure they are well aware that these boxes are leaps behind right now.
The lack of an update also seems to support Earl's contention that they are indeed working on a number of things, and the update will reflect that.
I personally think we'll get a push-out update some time in the next 10-14 days, but that's pure speculation, guess, and magic 8-ball results.
Speaking of speculation, and looking at Doug's site, will we get 0170 or 0175?
My guess would be neither.

Six weeks in and no news on the first update?
Well the news is... is that I should have some more definitives by weeks end.
And even though I can't go into detail...
There have been a lot of factors, that have led to the length in getting the first update.
Oh boy! Oh boy!

No worries here. It's not like there's nothing else going on at D* lately.
Woo hoo! Maybe they're going to give us an upgrade that includes VOD with remote booking enabled, Channels-I-Receive enabled, search functionality that restricts results to the favorite list in use at the time of the search and pause-points that are retained on the live buffer when toggling between a recoding and live ...
But I'd gladly forgo ALL of the above just to get stability, so as a well-known and articulate moderator here likes to say ... "Bring it on!"
