As of today, you can DVR and skip commercials on all the programming available on YoutubeTV, on every network.

To recap, that puts YoutubeTV at:

    - No hour limits on DVR
    - Content stored for 9 months after airing
    - Select any recording of any episode you want to watch, going back 9 months
    - No forced VOD on any network; if you can record it, you can watch it later and skip the commercials.

    Why only 9 months?

Tied to content licensing restrictions, I believe.

Storage costs might also come into play. They’re maintaining storage for a 24x7 feed of every channel they carry for 9 months, including all the local channels in the markets they serve.

YTTV is normally very good about auto-extending recordings based on programs going over their timeslot, but if for some reason the system messes up, you can open a ticket and they can fix the recording duration after the fact.
