Will DirecTV have a special Yule Log channel?

Also, the kids love the Santa Tracker channel that Time Warner offers. When I had Time Warner last year, they had it up on their info channel starting at about 7pm Xmas eve.

What ticked me off is that the tracker channel was automatically cut off by paid programming before the kids even went to bed. The lazy idiots couldn't even adjust the automation schedule for one night out of the year. What's the point of even offering it?

    Does DirecTV offer anything similar?

GMC (Channel 338) will have a Yule Log from 8:10pm on Christmas Eve to 7pm on Christmas Day.

Some local channels around the country will have the original WPIX Yule Log, not sure if any Albany locals will have it.

If the tracker used NORAD, unless you plan on having the presents under the tree by midnight, you'll have pissed off kids if they stayed up or came home from midnight mass and didn't see presents after NORAD said Santa passed over the area.

It updated every 15 minutes with a location, all of them on the east coast. One year it stayed on right until 10am the next day and said "Albany" at 7am.

NORAD would say he's in Russia while this channel would say boston. I'm sure one of the news channels will be "tracking santa". I'll have to look for that. It'll do.

Channel 338has a nice fireplace but they could loose the channel logo. They did some channel promos albeit very short interruptions. It played during our annual Christmas dinner.
