I have been receiving all the updates and still I get no HDMI.

LG 37 In. 37LC2D conected with Monoprice HDMI cable.

Earl, Do you think I should call and get a replacement or wait for more updates.

I know the HDMI port on the TV works because it worked with my HD Directivo.

Anyones opinion is welcome. I am afraid of calling in for a new box because aside from the HDMI issue the box has been rock solid.

I'd have to agree on this one, HDMI seems to work for most people. I'd try a different box. If the one they send you doesn't work, keep your original and send the replacement back.

Not to sound "smart"..

But have you tried unplugging the TV, to allow it's side of the HDMI equation to fully reset.

No I haven't. Should I unplug the TV with the HR20 on?
You need to power everything off (Meaning unplug from the outlet) then power on HR-20 then plug in TV. I cant believe you didnt read a thread somewhere that told you that in order for the HDCP handshake to occur that needs to be done!

I would power off both.
Disconnect the HDMI.

Wait about two or three minutes... to let any capacitors or what ever run their power out.

Then basically hook it up like it is new.

I hope it works for you.

I don't believe I have seen this anywhere. It seems odd that I missed this completely. I am a regular visitor to this sight. :icon_dumm

My HDMI has not been working so I switch to component, this morning I rechecked the HDMI and it is now working. I did not unplug anything, just turning off the tv and dtv when I go to bed at night. Hope it keeps on working

Update: I received a new HR20 and am now able to use HDMI.

As it turns out it was the Hardware that was causing problems. I guess the HDMI port of the old HR20 was defective.

All is good now! :)
