I have seen posts many times that say
"My wife does not want to use the AV because it is too complicated".
I don't have a wife but I do have a son that plays video games most of the night and sleeps during the day.
When he is asleep I do not want the AV to be on since I am watching TV with people talking all day, no action stuff.
I got a second DTV remote and programmed in the TV and no AV.
When I use it I can control the volume on the TV without the AV ever being turned on. Later on before I switch to the AV receiver I turn the volume way down ( If you mute it a symbol pops up on the screen and stays there ).
After he wakes up I use the DTV remote programmed to operate the AV sound.
I placed the Theater sticker from the labels supplied onto this one so I could tell them apart.
Hope this helps someone.
