Hey guys,

After reading the latest posts in the D11 thread, I went through the satellite strengths on my HR21-100 to make sure that everything would be good once D11 goes live. 101 comes in great (between 85 and 100) and 110 and 119 come in OK (between low 70s and high 90s). 99(c) comes in around 70-mid 90s, with a few in the 60s. Those don't concern me. The problem comes with 103(s). Here are my readings. Could any of you tell me if there's a problem with this and D11 going live??

1-8 0 0 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A
9-16 N/A>>>>>89 85
17-24 80 75 91 89 27 0 82 94
25-32 All N/A

Also, the HD version of my local ABC station (WPVI) drops out a few times a day and has a constant "brrr" problem with the audio. Could that be the 27 reading I'm getting??

The 91 and 94 tells me you are pointed correctly, you are having other issues with the burrrr noise.

(s)= Spotbeam 0s and low numbers are normal !!


Also D11 is at 99 not 103.

As was mentioned 103s is spot beams and it's not unusual to have low or 0's in there since those particular spots may not be pointed at you. The 27 is going to be a spot you are right on the edge of and not the one that is providing any of your channels so the buzz is something else.

Ok thanks for your help. And yes, I know D11 is at 99, but I was reading in another thread that bad 103 readings mean bad 99 readings.

It most likely means that. But it would refer to 103c rather then 103s.
