Yeah, that's true. I'm fortunate enough to have a 2006-model Samsung that can actually take a 1080p signal (and display it) over component, HDMI or VGA.

Nice! From my research, Samsung and Mitsubishi make the best quality DLP TVs.

The nice thing about seeing 1080p on a display is that it usually means that it is a full 1920x1080 matrix. In that "lesser" televisions are typically half that resolution or less, 1080p is a good thing.

I'll wait for the brodcasters to get around to actualy brodcasting in HD before worrying about 1080p... Sad that there are sooooo many tv's out there and soooooo little content to watch on them...
