Yeah, that's true. I'm fortunate enough to have a 2006-model Samsung that can actually take a 1080p signal (and display it) over component, HDMI or VGA.It is actually my particular TV that won't accept a 1080p signal over component, only HDMI and DVI. Many TVs will have this issue.
The nice thing about seeing 1080p on a display is that it usually means that it is a full 1920x1080 matrix. In that "lesser" televisions are typically half that resolution or less, 1080p is a good thing.dezufnoC said:Don't get caught up in the holiday hype of 1080p tv's...Save your $$$.
