1080p
I read in my Satellite Direct that we will have all HD programming in 1080p later this year. Any news?

First of all, there are no plans for the long term future to offer broadcast programming in 1080p. Second, as far as satellite carriers, only ESPN has made any commitment to even exploring 1080p as an option.
There will be 1080p pay-per-views, that much is certain.

Right now not even broadcasters have 1080p content broadcasts, only movies really do.
