10B - new issue for me

Downloaded 10B last night. Everything went fine and looked good. Turned the TV and HR20 on this morning and I had no sound or picture on anything. No HD, SD, MPEG4, OTA, nothing. The guide and channel changes all worked fine and the channel banners all worked right, but I had nothing other than that.

Is this the infamous BSOD? I always assumed the BSOD was a complete failure of the box, where channels wouldn't change or anything? Am I wrong, is this what it is?

Anyway, I did a soft reset and it works fine now.

Probably more like the PSOD, Penguin Screen of Death. I'm only assuming the OS is a Linux base.

A BSOD can happen anytime, during boot, resume, power up, or just in the middle of use. It can be called a BSOD when the panic/dump information is displayed to a console device. Since we never see the console, it would be difficult to make an assumption that it is a BSOD.

This is a bug that goes back to FA for me. Sorry to hear its still hapening! I can usually change channels a few ttimes and it finally starts working. I have no video or audio, but the menus etc all show up. So far its happened twice, and both times puttsing around fixed it, changeing channels etc. Haven't had to rbr for it,,,,yet.
Happened to me, too, right after the download completed. A reset seems to have cured it.
I had this with 108, went back to Fa, didn't do 10b........
This happened to me once (using 108). I couldn't play anything from playlist either.
This happened to me last night on FA. I could change the channel and it came back on. This also transferred itself to a recording which fixed itself after a RBR. Something else happened as well though.

All this week the guide kept getting slower and slower. While watching TV when I hit the rewind button, the screen froze and the ticker went all the way to the beginning of the buffer. All I was able to do was change the channel and then change back, losing the buffer. On the next channel and every channel I tried before the reboot the same rewind bug happened. RBR fixed this.

Then last night I had my first lost recording. :( The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King recorded completely (at least it showed in the playlist as such) but when I went to play it back, it was a black screen. I was able to use trick plays but the cursor would not move from the beginning. I had this happen the day before on an SD channel as well but a RBR brought the recording back to life. This time I decided to see if I could get the latest software update yet so I forced the update not even knowing that Santa Earl had another software update present set up for last night! I got the latest software but I lost the ROTK recording. Its ok though as TNT is replaying it again tonight and tomorrow.

I've seen the same thing since 0x10B. I was flipping channels and the info bar at the top would show the correct channel number and logo, but the name of the program remained the same with a black screen. After about 30 seconds, everything started working again.
I came home tonight to this exact same problem. I had to reset the receiver and it seems to have fixed the problem.
