I got mine to work (forward to a tick mark):

Press and hold FF for 3 seconds. Then relese and press and relese the FF button.

Some say to press FF for 3 seconds only, but that does not work for me.

To go to the end/beginning do the same procedure with the FF/Tick or RR/tick buttons.

It should work just by holding it down as long as you are using a D* remote. If you're using some other universal remote you have to do the hold down and release trick.
