Have any of the Harmony or other universal remote users had any luck finding a one-button solution to the skip-to-tick or skip-to-beginning/end situations described here without holding, releasing and then tapping?

I just got a Harmony 550. Which is the 30sec skip button?

Harmony has the 30-second-skip programmed wrong in their database. You have to tell it that you want to manually learn a new IR command from the original remote.
