Does anyone have a problems with their 30 sec slip not working? Mine worked fine until last night. I push the button, and nothing happens. I tried resdeting the box, but no go. This box started out ok, but has had so many issues now, im starting to regret getting it :mad:

What channel where you on? MPEG-4 Local? 1080i program?
If so. then yes, it is a known issue.

I've always had it work, but have no MPEG4. Except sometimes, on SD channels, and recordings, I've noticed an odd delay.

Also, Earl, any word on if they'll speed it up. The speed of the 30 sec slip is just far too slow. :(

I would wait till the next software update, and see if that corrects it...

Does it at least signfy that you hit the button (aka the icon appears), or does it just not register it at all.

I have the same problem and many other problems. Unplug the unit, wait a minute, then replug the unit. This will fix the problem but it will very likely happen again and you will have to repeat the whole process again.

Once they stabalize the playback issues, and FF issues.
They will introduce the 4x FF speed, and when they do that they are going to revise the 30s SLIP speed... not sure how much faster it will get, but hopefully it will be at least as fast as the R15 version, maybe a little more.

I hope it fixes it. I really like using this feature. Any idea if D is going to fix the program guide so it display normal on the first push of the guide button? I really hate pushing it twice, although its not really hard, I just think they should have it set up to push twice for the catagory list.

Cool. I don't have an R15. How fast is that?

Also--impressed that DirecTV is listening to us on these things. It's what makes for loyal customers. :)

I don't know if that is going to change...

I have had multiple issues too. Ive already tried unpluging, reset button, and still the same problem

Me too, but I still would like it to work the reverse of the way it does now. 99.9% of the time when I press Guide, I want the Guide I have selected/configured as Favorite. It is only rarely that I need the other filters. It ain't the end of the world, but sure seems silly. I could wait a long time for this to be fixed and wouldn't even be irritated if they chose not to fix it. As you said, "I've gotten used to...."

Well, its not the end of the world if they dont fix it. I have hated it ever since they changed it last year on my standard boxes. If they fix all the issues with my hr20, then I will be happy.

For right now, I would just recommending hanging tight for the next release, I know they "burning the midnight oil" to get the next update out to us.

Its good to know that they are working on these issues. I have been happy over all with the box. I love how fast it is compared to my tivo. I guess its expected to have some issues with the new hardware\software. Thanks for keeping us updated Earl :D

Sorry missed part of the post. It does not register it at all. It worked fine up until last night:confused:

Hi Everyone,

I got my new HR20 today. I already had the A9 Dish, multi switch and 2 cables for my separate H20 and R15. The installer connected both cables to the HR20 and everything appeared to work when he left. I tried to record 2 programs at once and it said I had a conflict. I looked on that Sat setup and it had Tuner 1 almost full and 0% for Tuner 2. I had to leave for work so I could not call them back immediately. Is there a known fix for this? Do I have to set up the second Tuner? Also, any idea when the next update will be sent out?

Reboot the box.

As for the next software release...
Yes, I have an idea... and it is "soon"... the current testing version has not been authorized for customer release yet.
